Kim started learning music in a professional manner since a young age and joined the Big Hit Entertainment Company in 2013. However, he was not seen publicly as the company wanted to keep him as a surprise package for future launch. He finally made his debut with the hit single No More Dream in 2014. Kim also composed music for the album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life which garnered huge views.
Kim also worked on another album called Wings and the hit song Stigma gained huge response from his fans. Apart from that, he also collaborated with other musicians like Adele and worked for the song Someone Like You.
