Stacey’s father worked with the Police Department in New York and her mother was working in US Judicial Department. Stacey Plaskett initially served as a student leader and was also part of an NGO during her student days. After that, she completed her graduation in law and became an assistant attorney for New York district. She worked under Robert T Johnson and was known for prosecuting hundreds of cases which also included cases related to Narcotics.
After working with Mitchell Madison Group for a few years as legal consultant, she moved to Washington D C. Here, she got to work on counsel on US House of Reps, Committee on Standards of Official conduct. This later became famous as Ethics committee. She got a huge break at this stage and got an offer to work at Department of Justice. Interestingly, she was the political appointee of President George W Bush at that time.
She served as assistant attorney general’s counsel for few years. She later became part of Larry Thompson’s Justice Honors program. During that time, she as also part of the Terrorism Litigation Task Force and other important cases against the tobacco companies in the US. Stacey left her job and became Deputy General Counsel at United Health Group to handle legal work consultancy related to Medicare and Medicaid programs in the US.
